FriscoTXHusker
WTF? Callahan calls plays for which there isn't agreement among fans as to what he should call. Maybe he should take a poll. Or maybe NU should fire his A and run the team by a committee of expert fans. I wouldn't have called the punt/reverse thing myself, but nobody pays me to make the calls. Either BC will produce or he won't and he'll be gone. Personally I'm optomistic about the direction the Huskers are going. I still expect us to loose some games and yes, even to make some mistakes. I'd hoped we'd get some wins over top 10 teams this year, but now I'll have to wait till next year. So what. Quote Link to comment

Always a husker
Players love to do trick plays and when they get the chance they usually execute. I think Callahan is doing this for the players, he wants the best from them and wants them to have fun because thats what its about. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Having the 100 plus plays may not be the problem but their seven part naming system may be what makes it overly difficult to digest. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
I don't think we have anyone on the coaching staff more capable than him. A big hire would have to be made, specifically for this area. I think HC/OC is to much for him..... he wouldn't be the 1st former OC to have to give up calling plays when he became a HC Quote Link to comment
Axl_sued_me
I'm watching Boise State right now, and the BS players don't have the look on their faces like they are getting ready to take a semester final like our players do. These guys are lose, relaxed, and are having fun. My guess is that it does not take 3 years to get a complete grasp on their offense. Quote Link to comment

Yea, I could see how you could get that from the look on the players faces. Quote Link to comment

I don't think "Blue right 25 Z throw back 17 horizontal slide red" is hard to understand!!! Quote Link to comment
