Questions for Steve Pederson?

I'm curious as to how SP would tell us how the loss of TV revenue, (losing teams don't get on nearly as often as winning ones) will affect the ENTIRE athletic budget? He should be able to answer that since he's the AD, right?? :box

Another good question. It's sad to say but the state of Nebraska relies on the football program and loosing games is loosing revenue. It could be a huge blow to everybody.

Duhh!! Lame post, :flush I know we all know this.

My questions for Steve Pederson.

Why are we suppose to act like this is to be expected while you're in the middle of rebuilding the team back to a National Championship level?

What the hell is phenominal about a 70-10 loss?

Why was Frank not fired after one of the worst seasons ever and then left to believe he had time to "rebuild the team" and save his job?

Why did Frank have to fire long time coaches who bled red?

Why was Frank fired after he brought in one of his best recruits ever, Bo Pelini

which together went 10-3 ?

Why after Bo leading us to a great bowl game win, pumping up the defense like Charlie McBride in the good ol' days, fans and players loving him was he not given the chance to be the head coach?

To me "rebuilding" is getting better not getting worse.

If we were something like 7-7 two years ago, 10-3 last year, just where would we be this year with Frank and Bo?

Maybe National Championship level that were "rebuilding" towards now going backwords to go forwords?

Since this is suppose to be expected in the "rebuilding" process let's just start over, because that's what were doing.

Let's get rid of all the Championship tropheys, we've lost most of our records that we've held for years so let's just say we never had any and start from scratch like Steve say's we need to do because everything we've accomplished doesn't mean a damn thing to him anyway.

Steve with a program that needs to be scrapped because it doesn't work and the 'West Coast Offense" is the answer to obtaining everything  just how the hell did we win those championships anyway?

good post man, I would like to ask the same questions, and then pop him in the face after he lies to me like he does often.

How neanderthal of you.

Oh and about the questions, I could have entertained them in JANUARY.

Edit: sorry, I can't resist.

I hope as a human being you know how to act without the guidance of a football team. That's retarded.

The one about throwing all the trophies away is a bit on the dramatic side. What is this MacBeth?

Calling coaches recruits, that's rich. Best ever huh? Hardly. IT WAS ONE (1) YEAR. How can you use the words best ever after one year? I guess you can if you yearn for instant gratification.

Read AR's posts again. Then read them again. We won with the option because WE WERE PHYSICALLY SUPERIOR TO OTHER TEAMS. Not because we were one dimensional. We could have told the other team what play we were going to run and they couldn't stop it. After Osbourne left, that level of superiority fell off.

One more thought Dave,

Everyone is complaining that these are Frank Solich's recruits playing.

Rather you want to call it recruited or hired tell me Bo Pelini was not one of Frank's best recruits ever?

I'll give you this. Pelini came in last year and did a good job on defense. It was quite the breath of fresh air coming from the era of Craig Bohl. Solich deserves credit for bringing him in.

UmMMmmm.. Pelini reminded me alot of mcbride, whos running the D now? might as well be no one would end up the same pelini shut out Texas..( that hasnt happend in 25+ years)... I would say that pelini was a awsome pick,, so what does captain retard (Callahan) do? he fires the person who is the biggest threat to him for the head coaching possion. Callahan is very good at one thing and that is taking a winning team and making them loosers. look at the Raiders they are still re covering from the callahan affect.

Are you seriously saying that revenue from NU's football program is a signifigant factor in Nebraska's economy????? I hope you don't seriously believe that.

You did take a peak out the window on the way out to Colorado, right?

A little known fact, to this day, there are still more cows in Nebraska than people. Just because the Omaha stock yards are gone, doesn't mean the industry is, we've just cut out the middleman.

I'll try to piece together this post considering it looks like basic grammar was lost on you.

Are you joking? Pelini was nothing like McBride. I don't remember McBride blitzing nearly as much as Pelini, for one.

Callahan brought in guys he wanted to work with. That's what head coaches do. There is no way in hell the Callahan saw Pelini as a threat to his job. That idea is simply asinine. Who does the hiring? The athletic director. If he thought at the time he hired Callahan that he might have to replace him with Pelini soon, he would have made it a requirement to keep Pelini.

Again, you are caught up in BS politics.

We need a board with a description of "This board is for general bitching about crap that has nothing to do with football."
