I truly hope Husker fans act like the greatest fans in college football and not a bunch of idiots... Kirk Herbstriet was on Sports Nightly (Steve Pederson Show) tonight--highlights -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Highlights: ---Said he was pumped to come to Lincoln ---Looking forward to seeing the additions to the stadium ---Wants to showcase the tunnel walk for the game ----They are planning on 2 minutes (showing it) on the actual game as Nebraska enters the field.... ----Thinks it is one of the great traditions in college football ---Is impressed that Nebraska is not afraid to play teams like USC ---Said he is impressed with Callahan's recruiting and the confidence he has brought back to Nebraska football ---Loves the ABC Prime Saturday Night game....thinks it is good for college football ---Will be calling the game Saturday night with Brent Musburger... Crap! I can't stand Brent Mush-mouth. And it is nice that that little idiot Herbstriet is trying to give us props, but we are not some little piss ant WAC team scheduling up to play with the big boys. When we scheduled the home and home with SC we were coming off a National Championship and they sucked. Or is little Kirky to blinded by SC to remember how bad (really BAD) SC was in the 1980's and 1990's? Get over it Exactly! Is there any other reason??? If any of you pays attention, he regularly goes on radio with the local guys and talks football and never has anything bad to say about Nebraska. Is he a Nebraska fan? Hell no, the only national media guy I know that is is Alberts, who is now at CSTV. But Herbstreit is intelligent and knows football. Yeah, I thought he sounded pathetic with his whole '95 vs '71 Nebraska rant, and didn't like his picks on everything football for the year. So what. Take solace in knowing that if Nebraska beats USC, Herbstreit will give Nebraska props. Otherwise, what would you really expect? Quote Link to comment
