CoachKevin
Here is what Callahn said at the Big12 teleconference. "It’s one of those years" He doesn't understand that before he came to Lincoln, there was no such thing as "It’s one of those years" http://journalstar.com/articles/2007/11/05...77695954862.txt Quote Link to comment

Blackshirt316
Clone, there is a BIG, BIG difference from 7-7 and what is going on now... 7-7 was bad, this is simply embarrassing. I do think it may be the greatest thing that could have happened though, I'd hate to sit through another five years of mediocre to good seasons with Callahan wondering if he was ever going to take the next step, having it happen quick and painful makes getting to the point where we can move forward that much quicker and with a less divisive outlook as a fan base. This staff never had or gained the trust of the entire fan base, the next coach is almost certain to have full support going forward from this debacle and that is a very powerful tool... especially for regional recruiting Quote Link to comment
BlackShirt D
wow....that makes me ferocous at cally.y would u say something like that??? its one of those years? well its this year that ur gone so better find a job.....and please dont ruin other traditions as u become a new head coach at another place becuase the fans will hate u there like here Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
My favorite ... "It isn't about the money .." Yes, you know you are getting fired, your team has quit on you, plus you are embarrassing yourself and the university - but it isn't about the money. Quote Link to comment
Redman
Go back to the pros Cally (just not Green Bay). Quote Link to comment

CoachKevin
Yes and would love to be having a 7-7 season right now. So our former coaches worse season is on par with the 4 years of our new coach. Solich last four years at Nebraska 38-14 (73% Win ratio) vs Callahans 26-23 (53% win ratio) Solich career at Nebraska 59-19 (76% win ratio) Here is what Callahn said at the Big12 teleconference. freemason9
Go back to the pros Cally (just not Green Bay). Amen to that! Go to the Vikings or Bears or someplace. Is there someway that we can steer all of these angry souls to a single "I Hate Callahan/Cosgrove/Rose" thread? It's getting really old seeing the same old craptrap repeated endlessly on here. I'd like to see some actual football discussion on here . . . for example, have any of you watched the game films from K-State? Did you notice anything in the defensive backfield in the second half? You know, stuff like that. Quote Link to comment
freemason9
Whoops. Make that Kansas. (I'm still having trouble accepting K.U. as the #4 team in the nation.) Quote Link to comment
