alairguard
To play in the All American Football League? I ran into this article, don't know who's rosters are set yet but Crouch tried out up in Michigan. http://allamericanfootballleague.com/MIBreakingNews.php Quote Link to comment
real'97champs
he signed a contract to play in the league.... dont think he has a team yet though click on the players tab at the top of the page and its the main story Quote Link to comment
Dan_F_30
I would absolutely love for this league to come to Nebraska! They talked to the president of the league last spring on Unsportsmanlike conduct and and he said they have been in talks with officials at UNL to have a team representing UNL, UNO and surrounding Nebraska schools. I think the talks were slow then, and this was in Pedersons reign (So he might not have wanted it if he couldn't get his hands on money from it, but that's just my opinion). But I bet TO as the AD would ok it because it would bring back anyone that played CFB in this area and graduated college to play. And they play in the spring which is perfect so us Nebraska fans would have something to do in the Spring time when CFB isn't in season! I think it would be super duper! Quote Link to comment

BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
I heard Crouch on 1620 last week and he said they hope to get a franchise in Lincoln or Omaha for their 2009 season. Quote Link to comment
Dan_F_30
Sweeeeeeeeeeet Quote Link to comment
bethelbacker
I really hope this comes to fruition, it'd be great to see some of the former greats who didn't go to the league have a shot to keep playing for fans who care about them . Quote Link to comment
Spartness
Hmm. That is something to think about if Omaha builds that downdown stadium for the CWS. The field could be made suitable for football, too. (I believe Rosenblatt was used for the Omaha Mustangs.) I think Memorial Stadium is too large, and would look empty with 20,000 to 30,000 fans. The only problem is how do you work it out with the Royals? Quote Link to comment
huskerfan500
He also has a job promoting the league, I hope they can work it out so they could get a leauge here. Quote Link to comment
