Hunter94
why haven't any rumors floated about any other top college programs wanting his services? and if no one else wants him (should we let him go) THEN WHY IN THE HELL WOULD WE WANT TO KEEP HIM?? Quote Link to comment
MCAT800
Because, the people who think he's a great coach can be counted on one hand Quote Link to comment
np_husker
I'll bet an NFL buddy ends up wanting him, but I can't imagine a big time college program wanting him. Quote Link to comment
phantomhusker
I bet John Gruden at Tampa Bay would take him in a heartbeat, me i'd like to see his picture on a milkcarton!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
DJR313
Callahan will have no problem finding a job if he gets fired, but it will most likely be in the NFL as a coordinator. Quote Link to comment

The only way he gets a job is from an old friend. He tried getting NFL jobs back in 2005 but nobody wanted him. Quote Link to comment
Husker Deb
He's a big boy. I think he can take care of himself. I don't feel sorry for him. He knows the way college football works. Quote Link to comment

He knows the way college football works. No he doesn't. That is why he hopefully will be looking for a new job in the near future. Quote Link to comment

HuskerTrucker
Would you want to be the AD that hired him and have to justify it? Quote Link to comment

Probably the same radio station that reported Solich was coming back as the running backs coach and that McBride was taking over as interim head coach. Quote Link to comment

huskerbatt52
I've heard that Callahan's agent contacted the Bears on his behalf, when they hadn't yet extended Lovie Smith after the Super Bowl last year...needless to say, they were not interested. Billy C will have no problem finding a gig as an NFL assistant, but I don't see him being a head coach anywhere for a very, very long time. Quote Link to comment
