T_O_Bull
if callahan had not been fired this would not be happening, you all wished for this Welcome to the board. Don't think that this is just a Bit**, Pi$$ and Moan scession. Do we have some worries, sure, we are facing the unknown and as mere mortals we sometimes have lapses in our optimisim. The one thing that we all have in common is that we are college football fans. The one thing that most of us have in common is that we are Husker Family, standing proud, shoulder to shoulder, heads held high, united by our devotion to Nebraska Football and all of its glory and traditions. Again welcome and enjoy. >>>T_O_B Quote Link to comment
Glendower
If only we would have kept Cally! I'd much rather know that we were going to have a .500 season +/- .12 next year than have a little hope. Quote Link to comment
dizzturbedNUfan
Did any of you hear Dan Hawkins interview on the Zone yesterday? As much as I don't like Dan, it was a good interview. It should still be on the pod cast. He talked a lot about recruits and how he thinks it's wrong that the people from Rivals and Scouts can call or text these kids 10 to 20 times a day. He also say's that he has proof that schools use these guys in the down period to make contacts for them. It was pretty interesting. Quote Link to comment

See Segment Three it was a very good interview, and comical at times too -- "He'd been fingered 200 times." Quote Link to comment

I am I
i think the recruiting thing will settle down for one reason: 1. BC tried to get kids here to fit 'his pro system' whereas Pelini will get kids here to play 'HIS WAY'.... meaning that BC ran a pro offense, had pro practices, had pro relationships, used pro jargon. Pelini wants kids to play HIS WAY, tough, heart, guts, smart. So if we lose the 'pro' style recruits, so be it. By the end of the spring when we get some overlooked kids who are pissed they were passed over by ND, USC, etc. they will come here and play it Bo's way and kick ass for us. It does suck to lose great RB's and QB's and DL but right now all they are is prospect's....at least we know Pelini will have the kids playing hard instead of waiting for Billy C to get 'his guys here to run his system'...which culminated in a year 4 meltdown!!
