More players in trouble with the law

Recommended Posts

what now??? if this sh#t keeps up we're gonna be playing all our 2nd & 3rd stringers.

The two players that were cited were second or third stringers

They were last season. Smith is supposed to challenge for a starting spot on the O-Line this fall.

:yeah I was going to just say that it sure seemed like the defense was playing 4th stringers last year, or that is the way it looked on the stats.

Everyone talks about the symptoms and not the problem...the problem is the behavior itself, not whether or not the police "overreact". These guys demonstrate why the program has taken a swirl down the crapper: no self-respect, maturity and judgment. No responsibility.

Has taken? Were you not around in the 90's?

been around since the sixties, son...have seen way too much of the "me, me, me " crap.

Where were you in the nineties, DaveH, in Junior High? How about in the 80's; 70's, 60's?

There have always been problems. That doesn't excuse them now. In fact, in today's information age, you need to do it better and cleaner than at any time in the past. Many athletes today are spoiled brats.

Oh, by the way...didn't this kid get academic honors? Somebody must have taken his exams for him. He fought with the police, for Christ's sake. Instead of cooperating with police like a normal citizen, he was going to fight his way out of it.

:thumbs What a genius!!

yeah, somebody needs to get him a "Cops" dvd, so he can see that you never get away from the Cops...they always win, and make you look stupid doing it. I hope Andy had his shirt and shoes on...otherwise they probably would have filmed it for a episode coming up.... :clap

Football: Christensen released from jail

LINCOLN (AP) - Nebraska football player Andy Christensen is out of jail after posting bond.

Christensen was arrested last weekend outside a downtown Lincoln bar on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Christensen was released from jail shortly after 5:30 Tuesday afternoon. Earlier in the day, defense attorney Bob Creager had asked that Christensen's $500,000 bail be lowered to $300,000. But Judge Mary Doyle refused to review the figure, saying she was recusing herself from the case because she knows the alleged victim.

A Lancaster County Jail staff member said she did not know who paid the $50,000 that was required for Christensen's release.

Hopefully this guy.

So who is the player that's being kicked off the program??

:dunno Anyone know? :dunno

Daniel Lee, a kicker that transferred in last year is the player being kicked off the team. Not sure if he was involved at that party or if it was something completely separate. They are keeping pretty tight lipped about it. Here is the link:
