joshuavacek
1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)? A definite explosive return man. 2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important). 8, special teams have been a problem and this guy could really help the return team. 3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity? Yes, he will start as returner 4) Who does this player most remind you of? Dante Hall 5) Where do you see this player in 2009? Returning kicks in the Fiesta Bowl as we go on to victory Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Could be a returner, Nickelback, gunner on kickoff, or a wingback of sorts, according to Callahan Quote Link to comment
Benard
be suprised if he doesn't redshirt. Rands thinks he's going to come in and play right away. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
I hope he just plays special teams with the an appearance here and there at wingback. I think he is way to small to play DB in the Big 12. Quote Link to comment
joshuavacek
No way he could play defense at 160 lbs. A Dante Hall type player is what he should be. Quote Link to comment
BelieveN
no way in hell he compares to Dante Hall I would rather see Leon Jackson back there or Lucky Quote Link to comment
oviedol55
1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)? Double R has sick juking moves, blazing speed and I'm guessing a knowledge of the tradition since he's a Nebraska boy. I know the coaches want him at WR or CB, but I think we should put him at RB and just see how he does. He has great footwork and could be a gem at RB if we give him the chance. 2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important). 7. We need that pipeline for our homestate guys to continue, and we need a gamebreaking punt returner. 3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity? He'll redshirt and put some beef on him while Lucky returns punts. 4) Who does this player most remind you of? Darren Sproles 5) Where do you see this player in 2009? A RS Senior leader on the special teams and a CB in the dime package. Quote Link to comment
joshuavacek
no way in hell he compares to Dante Hall I would rather see Leon Jackson back there or Lucky I did'nt say he was as good as Dante Hall. I said he has to be a Dante Hall type player. He is too small to do anything else. You think he is going to cover and tackle anyone. Did you see that weak handshake after signing his L.O.I. He better be fast. Quote Link to comment
kramer
Sayers' 1961 record now in Rands' hands Robert Rands sand-blasted Gale Sayers' name Monday night off the oldest chart-leading mark in Nebraska track and field. On his first jump of the season. When the Bellevue East senior splashed in the long-jump pit at the Dakota Dome, 25 feet, 1/4 inch from the take-off board, Sayers and his 24-101/2 mark from the 1961 state meet disappeared from the state record book. State champ on his first jump of the year. Quote Link to comment
