typ3kal
Although these threads get shut down immediately about the black outs etc, the university is sponsoring an official b******* this year for the first game. Taken Directly from the student ticket emails sent out this week to ticket holders on campus. "Countdown – Four Days until the Bo Pelini Era Kicks Off! Dear Husker, Get ready for the kickoff of the 2008 Nebraska Football season by stopping in the Athletic Ticket Office as soon as possible to pick up your student ticket packet. The Athletic Ticket Office is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and is located just west of Memorial Stadium on Stadium Drive. As promised, Athletic Director Tom Osborne did not raise prices, increased the student ticket allotment, and is providing to you a FREE Bo Pelini Era T-shirt . You will notice when you pick up your shirt, that the athletic department is supporting a student section b******* for the first game against Western Michigan in support of the Blackshirts. We hope you will wear your complimentary black T-Shirt to the opener, and then return Memorial Stadium to a Sea of Red for the remaining seven games. Coach Osborne and Coach Pelini hope you have a great 2008 football season and sincerely thank you for your support. Be sure to avoid long lines and improve your chances of getting the perfect T-shirt size by going to the Ticket Office NOW to pick up your tickets. " Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
Fortunately, this is going to be restrained to the student section only. Quote Link to comment

Muddy4DSM
Why do posts about this topic get shut down? I assume a lot of people going to the game are on this forum, what would it hurt to pass along this kind of information? Quote Link to comment

DJR313
At least the athletic department is providing shirts, perhaps it won't be half-assed then. Quote Link to comment
bennychico11
Why do posts about this topic get shut down? I assume a lot of people going to the game are on this forum, what would it hurt to pass along this kind of information? we don't necessarily shut them down. It's just the "b*******" topic gets drug up about once a month and most of us here get tired of seeing it. Not only that, but it's a dumb idea. now, back to topic at hand. I got an e-mail from the Husker fanbase network that says they are giving out free bottles of red t-shirt dye....guaranteed to change any black shirt into a red one!! Quote Link to comment
typ3kal
Well, I know we see b******* threads all the time, but how often are they blackouts sponsored by the university? Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Oh sh#t... *bleaches eyes* Quote Link to comment
bennychico11
Well, I know we see b******* threads all the time, but how often are they blackouts sponsored by the university? never. and it's not a b******* when only the student section receives free black t-shirts. If only the student section gets them that means about 15% of the stadium will have black on! Woot! Quote Link to comment
herbie4pres
Oh dear god i hope we can beat WMU without the assistance of what the fans wear. Quote Link to comment
frazier9495
eek...I'm a new member to this board and I am already tired of hearing about it. I just can't figure out why some people want to copy what other schools are doing. Quote Link to comment
