SwiftFan87
Junior safety RickeyThenarse was still in workout clothes Monday, not practicing. Pelini called him “day-to-day.” Junior safety Major Culbert did not play Saturday because secondary coach Marvin Sanders didn’t think he had enough time in Pelini scheme. “He had missed out on so many repetitions that I just didn’t think he was quite ready yet,” Sanders said. “A lot of things we do in our scheme is repetition. O’Hanlon got some good news this weekend, learning that he would be reclassified as a junior instead of senior. O’Hanlon had practiced with South Dakota for a few weeks in 2004, but never enrolled into classes. rest here, http://nebraska.statepaper.com/vnews/displ...1/48bca01325759 Glad to see O'Hanlon getting an extra year. BIGREDIOWAN
That's fantastic news for O'Hanlon. I liked some of the things I saw from him on Saturday. Now granted he has a long way to go, but it looks like he could be a fairly decent player. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
The Dude had some serious speed after that INT that was called back. I'm glad that we have him back for another year but what about Thenarse? Will we see him playing more in the Secondary later this year or will he play very little this year and maybe next year? Who knows only time will tell. As long as the best player is out there, I'll be happy with Bo's decision on this one. Quote Link to comment
husker B-rent
thenarse got hurt on the first ST coverage or he would have played more. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Uh oh. Good news for O'Hanlon. But now our safety two-deep is made of four juniors. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
It's bad because in a year, we'll have four seniors. And after that year, we'll lose our entire 2-deep at safety (unless some underclassmen comes up and unseats one of them). And after that, we'll have a very, very green safety group. junior4949
You would hope that a lot of underclassmen would get some playing time between now and at the end of next year to give them some experience. Quote Link to comment
Husker_x
That's a piece of good news. Stick around Matt. We've got all sorts of bad passes Pelini needs to introduce you to. Quote Link to comment
Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
I like O'Hanlon... because he's white. Was that too racist? I'm just kidding, settle down. That's not the only reason I like him... No really, he showed some wheels on that interception that got called back. Quote Link to comment
