Igetbored216
I don't care how many yards teams gain on us, as long as we can keep their point total down and create turnovers...we will win. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
The redzone defense is what is so impressive right now. Quote Link to comment
NU fan in Denver
The D is playing ok now. At least they aren't giving up 610 yards and 40 points to a team like Ball St. Quote Link to comment
blackshirtsfaninmiami
I love it... As long as that top stat about points per game stays relatively low i don't see why 8-4 is unrealistic. GOOOO 'Skers! Quote Link to comment
clone
Let's bump this thread in 4 more weeks. GO BO!! Quote Link to comment
huskerswrkhavoc
#25 Points allowed per game 14.3. #65 Yards allowed per game 347.3. #33 Rushing yards total 233. #10 Interceptions 5. I know it's against weak competition but you can definitely see improvement. I didn't want to post pass defense because it's pretty terrible but we look much improved from game 1. GBR. context is everything, against -- teams ranked-- #85, #93 and #109 in the country. GO BO!! here we go again with these mythical rankings.... ffs, 3 weeks into the year how do we know who the 85th, 93rd, and 109th teams in the nation are? Quote Link to comment
clone
a question came up today.... where was the 2007 defense rated after game 3?? I know, apples and oranges -- and of course the level of competition was MUCH higher in 2007. September 1* 2:30 p.m. Nevada Memorial Stadium • Lincoln, NE W 52–10 September 8* 11:00 a.m. at Wake Forest W 20–17 September 15* 7:00 p.m. USC Memorial Stadium • Lincoln, NE L 49–31 per the NCAA http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/natlRank.jsp?ye...ef&site=org after powering through visiting creampuffs rated #85, #93 and #109 so far-- Nu is currently #65 in total defense. 23rd in rushing D. 103rd in passing defense. only ten positions better than 2007, and I didn't see Wake Forest or USC on the schedule in '08. context is everything... now.. how do we know where everyone is ranked?? we don't, but there are folks paid to pretend to know... 35 of them are here, including the AP and coaches polls http://www.mratings.com/cf/compare.htm the rankings of the creampuffs (when they were played) of the schedule so far came from this site. I know... they don't know half as much about football as WE do!! they currently have NU at #25 GO BO!! Quote Link to comment
