Husker stuck at kstate
I dont remember there being this many night games at the beginning of a season. Anyone else feel this way. The coaching staff gets to pick them im pretty sure. Osborne said Pelini likes night games. Also with the first 3 games on pay-per-view they could either chose 11:30am or 6pm. That is why one was at 11:30 and the others were at 6. Quote Link to comment
motorboatjonesNU
Night games also help recruiting. A player can get here easier after playing Friday night. Callahan tried to schedule as many night games as he could, simply for this reason. LSU has had a long tradition of playing night games (remember the '76 NU opener vs LSU? A 6-6 tie. At night. In the bayou). Bo/Oz probably see the benefit of night games. And the TV exposure helps. Quote Link to comment
BigRedPowerWagon
Is it also more beneficial because if we have any (partyin) they wont be so hung over for the game say around noon or 3. Just a thought. Quote Link to comment
kstatehater
I don't know but I LOVE IT!!!!! I know Osborne doesn't want too many night games due to the old timers who drive from Western Nebraska, but if they can afford tickets and gas, they can also afford this new invention called a HOTEL. Pelini LOVES night games. 1. Nebraska practices late afternoon 2. Easier to get recruits to visit(they don't have to fly out at 3 am) 3. Better atmosphere 4. Better atmosphere 5. Better atmosphere 6. Easier to get recruits to visit 7. Nebraska practices late afternoon 8. Better atmosphere 9. Easier to get recruits to visit 10. BETTER ATMOSPHERE Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
Gotta agree with most, I love night games! Although it sucks waiting all day, that just builds anticipation/excitement. The crowd seems to be more rockin at 6pm than 11:30 am, I think the beer has something to do with it, but still. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I love the night games and our record in night games. Quote Link to comment
np_husker
I love night games because people who work during the day get to see them. Also, even though Pelini likes night games I'm sure it's the networks calling the shots. If they want us in the afternoon, we play in the afternoon. Quote Link to comment
