Danimal
Okafor is supposedly working hard and doing some good things, he just lacks consistency at this point. I don't think they'd have moved Mendoza if they didn't think we had guys ready to step-in and contribute. Quote Link to comment
i__saw__red
Lester Ward....the guy who will benefit if Q can't stop fumbling. Hey now I'm sure Q will have a much better year in 2009. I have some thoughts in mind as to why he fumbled a lot in '08. For example, he was brought into a lot of short yardage situations where the defense is more hungry for the ball than ever, and I'm sure that played a factor. But, there is absolutely no excuse for a fumble, so there really is no excuse. No disrespect HuskerRed, as opinion is opinion, but you totally contradicted yourself in that statement. If he was brought in for short yardage situations, where the defense is 'more hungry for the ball', then he too would understand that the defense was more hungry for the bal.. therefore the reason for him being a short yard back, to hold onto the football, and get the short yards? I too agree Q will have an outstanding year in '09 - but as you stated, there are no excuses to fumble the football, espcially for the short yard back. Quote Link to comment
glm09
I feel like it is a two man race coming into next year, with third contributing less than third did this last year. Remember, for most of the year it was Lucky OR Helu OR Castille listed at 1. Also, when freshman get here next year, that could shake it up again as well. Quote Link to comment
