carlfense
The kid has WHEELS! I hope we split him out occasionally like Mizzou used to do with Coffman. Quote Link to comment
HuskerJen
The best part about having Kyler Reed on our squad is that we finally have an offensive coordinator, in Shawn Watson, that knows how to properly utilize TE's. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
I think with our depth at TE it may just be a good idea to keep this kid at WR if possible. He burned right past diving defenders and made it look easy. Quote Link to comment

What about Matt Herrian? I seem to remember him having a bit of success... (and I remember him absolutely handling me when we played Pierce in HS. ) Quote Link to comment

(and I remember him absolutely handling me when we played Pierce in HS. ) Reeds speed is a double whammy because when he isnt the intended recvr, he can get to the LBr or saftey and actually complete a blocking assignment. Our TE play has been good but not great, the shortfall is in blocking and particulary when assigned to block in space. Reed gives us a dinemsion on every down he plays that we dont have when he is on the sidelines. Quote Link to comment
skerinKansas
Hold the phones, for just a minute here folks. He outran Jim Ebke, the saftey who had the angle. It's not like he outran Nick Harris, Blake Gideon, or even Eric Hagg. Yeah, it was an impressive run, but a little perspective is needed. This by the way, isn't a knock on Jim. Kyler could be very good, but the second coming of matt herian he is not... yet. Quote Link to comment
mattbri17
He did look quick. Does anyone recall his time on the 40? Quote Link to comment
