Eric the Red
If you believe Duensing, rebounding from Sunday's loss won't be a problem for this pitching staff. "This doesn't change anything," he said. "We're real confident in ourselves. This happened at the Big 12 Tournament where we lost a game early and had to fight back. That's what we have to do now. "We're just going to have to bear down. There's not going to be anything else after this. There's all summer to rest." Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Zach's Kroenikles, 6/20 Zach Kroenke watched Sunday's 7-4 loss to Florida in the Nebraska dugout. The left-handed junior pitcher, who will start for the Huskers against Arizona State on Tuesday, has been giving his thoughts about NU during the postseason. "It's not over. We did it in the Big 12 Tournament and we lost the very first game. We've got one under our belt, we've just got to keep working. "We outhit them. They just had more timely hits. When they had guys in scoring position, they got hits. We got almost all of our hits with two outs, and it doesn't work so well for you. You need a couple of guys on base when you're doing that. "Guys hit balls that should be off the wall or gone any other day, and they'd just be right at a guy. They made a few good plays on us. Their outfield was pretty sharp today, but we just got unlucky. "(Johnny Dorn) looked sharp, they were just on it. It just looked like they had a bead on it. It wasn't his day. "That'd be fun if we get to play tomorrow, just come back and get it going again. But I think a day off will be good for us. Tomorrow? A lot of eating (for me), good night's rest and just going through the scouting sheet again and trying to figure out exactly what we need to do, how we need to pitch (Arizona State), just rest up and make sure I'm ready to go for Tuesday." NamelessHusker
I believe Nebraska is saving Chamberlin for Thursday (game 2 vs Florida). They believe they can beat ASU with Kroenke and beat Florida with Dorn. If itr all goes to hell early during wed's game against Florida, Nebraska is going to bring in Chamberlin Quote Link to comment

DaveH
Just about gametime. Damn it sux to be at work! Listen to the game online here. GBR Yes it does suck that it is on now. Damnit! I would listen to it, but the networking folks downstairs have a policy against streaming audio. Bastards. 3-2 Huskers in the 5th. Two homers off kroneke make up ASU's scoring to this point. Or atleast that's what ESPN scoreboard says. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
Well its 3-3 going into the bottom of the 6th. Both teams appear to be playing it pretty conservative in the latter innings. Not happy they brought Ledbetter back in and pulled Buckman who was 2-2 on the day. Led bobbled another ball at first and almost blew it, and just struck out so bad the bat flew out of his hands. He just hasnt been with it lately. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
Make that bottom of 7, and Brett Jensen is comin outta the bully to slam the door shut. Quote Link to comment

Blackshirt
No sh!t. And it sounds like Ledbetter couldve prevented it all from happening w/2 outs but he let a foul ball drop b/t him and Wehrle. Then the next pitch resulted in 2 runs. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
A-Gordon just drove in 1 run to bring it to 5-4 with runners on 1st and 2nd. C-Ledbetter at the plate. 0 outs!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
Bunt to third base side and throw out at 3rd. 1 out, runners on 1st and 2nd. Oh yeah, TOP OF 9TH!!!! Quote Link to comment

Blackshirt
WOW. ASU just scored 2 in the bottom of 9 to tie it up. Bruce made an incredible play -- catch and throw out at 1st to double them up, then the damn ASU leadoff hitter Larish hit his 3RD homerun of the game to tie it up. Quote Link to comment
