sd'sker
I think Green should play because he is more athletic, but I felt more confident with Lee in this game. I will say he is absolutely the worst decision maker ever, he would be worse at picking out a TV from Sears than Brett Favre. Quote Link to comment
Paul in WI
Can't any of you yahoos enjoy a friggin' win without stirring up some controversy? We beat OKLAHOMA. Enjoy it tonight and critique it later. Judas priest...... Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
I had no real issue with Watson this game beyond a few calls I wasn't sure about. Most of our problem stems from the O-line and how it's pretty much a crapshoot every play. We had some well-blocked running plays and some poorly blocked running plays (OU's linebackers just f'd up a couple times, which helped us). If you're dropping back to pass, it's almost a sure thing you'd better get rid of the ball within the first few steps or something huge and scary is going to be burying you. So that leaves...what...? Rolling the pocket worked a little, a few misdirections and play actions. But you can't run that sh#t all day because we can't execute it properly all day. I'm really at a loss for what should be done when you can honestly say any given play the offense is about 50/50 to f#*k it up one way or another. Quote Link to comment
sioux city husker fan
yeah cause putting him in at the one was that difficult to get in the endzone, then running the rest of the game, running options, im pretty sure green could have done that it didnt matter who was in at qb really Quote Link to comment
melscott62
Lee gives us the best chance to win. I think he be fine from for the last 3 games.... no more elite defenses Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I have it from a pretty solid source that some of our players, including Cody Green, had the flu. Green's benching may have a lot to do with that. And agree with everyone saying it's the whole offense, not just Lee or Green. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Maybe Pelini should just say, "f#*k it, Suh, you're playing both ways. Man up." Quote Link to comment
Arctikus
GO LEE! BRING ON THE KILLER POWER HANDOFF ABILITY! Common guys hes not good, period, but he might be the best we have. I'm just going to trust watson for now but yes I don't think Lee should have been put in. Whatever im tired GBR! Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
We will just put our defense out there and punt on first down when we get the ball and win out from here on. Quote Link to comment
Incandenza
An absolutely unreal win! Go with hot hand...I don't really care anymore...just get wins! I say go 2 QB system and whoever is hot, let them play. Defense is again the story...unreal...Suh, O'Hanlon, Dillard, Crick, Hagg, Dennard, Prince....completely awesome!!! When is the last time OU scored 3 points??!!!!!!!!!!! Never in the Stoops era Quote Link to comment

HuskerTrucker
I think this is the best game the defense as a unit has played since Bo took over. Fantastic job! Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
I guess I should add that the O-line is not our entire problem. I do think Watson is having trouble finding an identity for the offense, but I have a hard time blaming him too much because it's more execution than anything that's letting us down. I'm pretty sure if I was him I'd have killed myself by beating my head against the wall by now. Still, it is Watson's job to find something that works, so part of it is on him. But we don't have a good QB. Both Lee and Green are just ok at this point. Neither is very reliable right now. And our receivers have been letting us down at times, too. So yeah, definitely more issues than just the O-line, but I think they've got the most issues and are also the key for making any offense work. When they play bad, it makes everyone else look that much worse. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I believe I have a heaping plate of crow to eat. Yesterday I said Nebraska wouldn't beat Oklahoma because our defense is "Big 12 North good, not South good" or something like that. I think I was really, really wrong. Can I at least get some dijon with that crow? Quote Link to comment
nepolo7
Got to find ways for Green to get experience every game but hey, Lee played well today. He did not turn the ball over. Ball control offense with this defense will win a lot of games Quote Link to comment
