huskerstag
As practice draws closer the probable #1 and #2 have been speculated for positions. Who could be a surprising contributor/impact player this year that most folks haven't highlighted yet (i.e. Josh Bullocks in 03 or Kurt Mann in 04)? My first guess is Octavien. His name has been tossed around when talking about LBs but I'm thinking he'll be a much better player than people expect. If he's up to 235 now and can really run a 4.5 he could make a lot of plays people wouldn't expect. If he has the kind of motor to run plays down from the backside and can cover someone out of the backfield he'll be a force. My 2nd guess would be Frantz Hardy. He's been hyped a little more, but he seems to have the tools to be a DI reciever. Can't wait til Thursday. Quote Link to comment
Huskerfan66
I will stay in the Linebacking core and say Philip Dilliard. I think he has the size and attitude to be a beast inside. I look for him to be a dominant run stopper. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Possibly JB Philips TE Quote Link to comment
BelieveN
heard alot from WR Tyrell Spain Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
going on a limb here also, how about Bryan Wilson, if/when he earns a starting spot on defense... Quote Link to comment
hoyamannn
Again in response to this question, I'm going w/the Navy Seal from Omaha! I think Souder's impact on special teams will be really nice this year. Quote Link to comment

I agree - I think that special teams will receive a greater emphasis, and players who "sell out" on each play have the potential to really swing a game. Souder sure seems like one of those. johnny_husker
I am going to say Dontrell Moore will become a superstar at MIKE. Quote Link to comment
StuckinChicago
Im gonna go out on a limb the size of a highway and say Zach Bowman. Lots of hype, but I have said it before. First team all big 12, second team all american. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
in my mind, Bowman is somewhat of a sure impact player... Quote Link to comment

Agree with both you guys here. I can't wait to see Souder lighting people up this fall. He has the right attitude to be a stud special teams player. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
Leon Jackson at .....................................................FS. Speed kills. Quote Link to comment
formerfan
Souder seems to be pretty intense, and I think that Leon Jackson may be one of the most overlooked players in this class, no matter where he plays. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I agree that Leon Jackson should be a huge contributor no matter where he plays, hopefully free safety in my book. Quote Link to comment
