FLU
OK, let's look at all possible scenarios. If the Huskers beat both Colorado and Texas, obviously they'll end up in the Fiesta Bowl. But, let's say they beat Colorado and then lose to Texas. Where will they end up? And what if they lose to both Colorado AND Texas? What then? Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Let's not imagine losing to Colorado. Ugh. If we beat CU and lose to Texas, we'll probably go to the Holiday Bowl. If we lose both we'll likely end up in the toilet bowl. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy
You know, im gonna say this right here. With the very unexpected losses that some of the teams this year has had on virtually every team in the Big 12 with the exception of Texas. I think it catches up with them on December 5th. HuckFoley
Fiesta, Holiday, Alamo, in that order depending on wins Quote Link to comment
CENTEXHUSKER
Outside shot at playing Iowa in the Fiesta if we win out?........ Crickets chirp'n.... Quote Link to comment
strigori
Its either Fiesta with a win vs Texas or off to the Holiday Bowl. The Cotton will almost surely take OSU, and the Holiday picks next, and have already said they would take a 8 win NU. Quote Link to comment
FLU
OK, because a lot of people here in Baton Rouge are thinking it will be LSU vs. NU in the Cotton. They think that OSU will end up in a BCS bowl by beating OU next week, and therefore, the Cotton will choose NU. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
The Cotton is still on the table for us, but I think the Holiday is more likely. I'd like to play LSU. I like their fans and there's a history with Bo, of course. Not to mention I think we are undefeated against LSU in bowl games. That's nice. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
If texas wins out they will likely be at the national title game. which would give the fiesta to osu. then we would get the next best bowl..which would be holiday correct? which is a bowl of more prestige, cotton or holiday? I believe the Cotton Bowl is of more prestige. Could be wrong though. Quote Link to comment

Cotton Bowl is Jan. 2 in Dallas at the new Cowboys stadium... I think it's the more prestigious of the two. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
well i want to go to dallas for more prestige, but id rather go to san diego so i dont have to go to dallas twice. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
There's a recruiting angle to think of, too. We'll get Texas exposure by playing in the Big XII Championship. Playing the Holiday Bowl gets us more pub in SoCal, home of many four- and five-star recruits. Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh
There are a lot near the Cotton Bowl as well, and we've had better luck recruiting Texas than CA. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
if we somehow happen to beat texas, which i think we can do, the whole bowl landscape goes through a loop. alot of pissed off people im thinking. Quote Link to comment
