Huskerboard's very own "Eric the Red" is providing some updates.

Here are some quick notes he has shared so far:

-As reported Dillard is a monster -- thighs the size of a ksu cheerleader

-Frantz Hardy is the REAL DEAL. He has really stood out so far today over most of the other WR's. Very soft hands, lightning quick - dont even hear the ball hit his hands they are so soft. He must use aloe.

-Beck -- getting very thick. Very big arms & ass -- been banging the weights out hard.

*Also of special note -- there is some stud named Tory Gathers who is there that appears to be a real player -- however no info listed in Rivals DB or Huskers.com. Erics gonna try to talk with him.

More to come today and throughout the week from our remote satellite feed otherwise known as ETR!!!!!!!!!! :horns2

-Joe Ganz will NEVER see the field -- worst QB to don a Husker uni in quite some time

Even worse then that joker from last year?

Having a solid WR is key to making this offense work. Hopefully some of the others step up also. :horns2

-Fluellen couldnt catch a freakin cold in an airplane full of 3 year old kids. Droppin balls like a polaroid picture.

Hasn't he always had this problem? All wheels and no hands.

Okay just got back from practice.

*Zack Taylor just looks like he's worked with Callahan for years. It's amazing how well they work together. As usual, he was accurate and into practice.

*During some 7 on 7 work, the defense won a couple plays and Steve Octavian was quite vocal and animated. We might have our "Captain Wistrom."

*Harrison Beck looked good at times, but floated a pass or two. Just some freshman jitters. I still have never seen anyone throw the ball harder. And man, he got big since last summer. Big back side and arms.

*New recruit Matt Slauson was on hand. Quite large, but 6'7"??

*Franz Hardy will be starting. He's a tiny guy, but soft, smooth hands. Good route runner.

*T. Nunn will be solid WR.

*As big as Roark is, many of the other guys are obviously bigger, for obvious reasons. Of course, he showed great effort when he got reps.

*N. Suh is a monster. You can't tell him apart from the other upperclassmen. He's lean, quick and very muscular.

*M. Lucky made some nice cuts and runs, but has alot to learn.

All in all, for the first practice it looks like things went really well. Callahan and Co. look lie there in mid-season form. GO BIG RED.

Hopefully Beck and Taylor turn out to be the real deal. This year will be a lot better than last if Taylor can do half of the things people are expecting of him.

What did you mean when you said Lucky has a lot to learn? About the offense? Or playing football in general?

The offense is going to take some time. No not football at all. He's just like all the other freshman.
