I Am A Bad American

Recommended Posts

I got this in an E-Mail today and thought I would share it with the board:

This Guy Had The Guts To Put This On The Internet .

YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN

I Am the Liberal-Progressives Worst Nightmare.

I am an American.

I am a Master Mason and believe in God.

I ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles and believe in American products.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some Liberal governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything. Get over it!

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and Willie G. Davidson that makes the awesome Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you!

So, shut up already.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country!

This is AMERICA .We like it the way it is!

If you were born here and don't like it you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you.

I want to know which church it is where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution.

Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license.

I think it's good.... And I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause.

Get a Job and do your part!

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

I believe 'illegal' is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.

I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.

If you are a BAD American too, please forward this to everyone you know.

We want our country back!

Typical right-wing sensationalist nonsense.

What does "believing" in American products even mean?

Americans who don't own guns aren't smart? Or maybe it isn't practical or feasible in all communities, or did the hick who wrote this never wander out of his one-stoplight town?

"We" like it the way it is? Who are "we"? There are many who don't like it the "way it is". There are may problems in this country that still need to be resolved. "We" probably just means bitter and uneducated racists.

Why does he assume that people who don't like things the way they are come from other countries? Is there a problem with being an American an acknowledging there are problems in this country, or even if you are an immigrant, why is this wrong?

"I think cops have the right to pull you over if you broke the law". Well no sh#t. I think the issue is what law enforcement is being allowed to do people who have no broken any laws.

"I'M A BAD AMERICAN!" - Well, aren't you tough?

"I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money" - Why? What does this have to do with anything?

It is just nauseating reading this.

I've heard people of all walks of life talk like this. The only common factor is they are racist and vote strictly Republican.

I personally love meeting these people; I find it humorous when they rant and rave.

I believe this is the appreciation shown to products that are made in America and are therefore providing Americans with more jobs. Nothing wrong with hoping the "hometown" product does well.

I've said it before and I stick to it. It's not the people who have guns legally that you need to worry about. There's nothing wrong with having a gun, but there is also nothing wrong with not having one, it's a personal choice IMO. I keep a shotgun under my bed, but that doesn't make me smarter than anyone.

"I think cops have the right to pull you over if you broke the law". Well no sh#t. I think the issue is what law enforcement is being allowed to do people who have no broken any laws.

I think this was alluding more to the people who cry racist if they are pulled over by anyone not in the same race as them.

Yeah, that was not at all the founding fathers' attitude. I find some decent points here, and some unfortunate jingoism. "Never change" has never been a tenet of being American, and neither has "if you don't agree, then leave the country." I can respect all sorts of opinions but, why do some people think everyone else is out there to get them? They aren't - and they should get over that. This is unnecessarily defensive, because nobody tries to sell you a Big Mac in another language anyway.

America is also a place for a lot of people of different cultures, belief, and backgrounds, who are free to express their own opinions and live their lives however they choose - it seems as if the author of this has a little bit of difficulty accepting that.
