Pedro Guerrero
What does everyone think the regular season record will be. This does not include the possible Big 12 title game or Bowl game. I'm going with 8-3. My heart says 11-0 but my head say 8-3. I won't say who I think we might lose to though. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
7-4 appears realistic. I don't want to rain on the parade, especailly with start of the new season and all, but we have to remember that the system is only in it's second year, that the change was profound, that the talent is still being assembled, and that we still can't say whether the staff has the right guys. In another thread, I said that the record won't mean as much to me as the level of improvement, and I still feel that way. Let me see significant improvement - better understanding of the system by the players, better "buy-in" of the system by the players, more enthusiasim, hustle, effort, and better execution. If I see that, knowing this staff can recruit, then I'll be satisfied, since that kind of improvement will show that they can motivate and coach, and it will just be a matter of getting the talent assembled. DJR313
I agree with you AR, but I think we have a great shot at 8-3. So I am with you on that one, Newearth. Quote Link to comment
BigRedJake
I guess I'm gonna be the optimist, I'm sayin' 9 wins. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
I guess I'm gonna be the optimist, I'm sayin' 9 wins. Entirely possible - that's what makes the anticipation for this season so great. And I'd love it if it happens! Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
i would be happy with 7-4, thrilled with amything better than that.....like arhusker, i want to see improvement first........ hunter Quote Link to comment
DaveH
I know it's early Hell, didn't we have one of these like 3 months ago Anyway, I'm going with 7-4. Like AR said, their has to be some tangible improvement. Quote Link to comment
hoyamannn
8-3. Even WITH Dailey last year, we could have/should have beat Southern Miss and Iowa State, heck maybe even CU. That's 7-4, 8-3 right there. Give this year's team some chemistry, better QB play, and a pass rush, and the North better watch out! Quote Link to comment
RuffH20
I'm going 7-4 though I WANT to say 11-0. I'm just wondering if much can be expected of first year players (freshman, juco, etc). I can look at the schedule and come up with atleast 8 wins but I also wonder if I'm looking through my scarlet colored shades . . . . . Now I'm even more confused............. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
For my dime 7-4 worst case 8-3 great > orgasmic well maybe not quite that good GBR My optimism tells me they will surprise some teams. I'm not listening to my logical side at this point in the season. Quote Link to comment
TheKiD
My prediction is: 8-3, with losses @ missouri, at home to oklahoma.. then either at home to tex. tech, or at colorado... an outside chance at losing both for 7-4. Quote Link to comment
indianahusker
With all the yoot (see: My Cousin Vinny) on this team, I think 7-4 or 8-3 is a pretty decent year. Next year will make or break Cally, and I think it should make him...but I'm reserving judgement until after the season! Go Big RED!!! Quote Link to comment
kc_husker
I voted at 8-3 but I sit there and stare at the scedule and can see us only losing 2 games. OU and CU. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I went with 7-4, but realistically they could go 8-3. As I have stated in other threads, if they get some momentum and confidence they could have a very good chance of taking the North. Quote Link to comment
kramer
I'll be very pleased with a 9-2, Big 12 Champ game Quote Link to comment
