knapplc
Ehlers chooses Huskers over Toronto Blue Jays Dennis Ehlers said Monday night that his son Logan, who had considered signing professionally with Toronto, will follow through on his commitment to play for Nebraska. The 6-foot-1 left-hander had signed with the Huskers but reconsidered after being selected in the eighth round of the June major league draft by the Blue Jays. Toronto had made several offers this summer to sign Ehlers, but Dennis Ehlers said his son had a certain price in mind and that Toronto did not reach it. He did not disclose that price. Logan Ehlers was a two-time All-Nebraska player for the Pioneers and struck out more than 500 during his four-year varsity career. Quote Link to comment

Danny Bateman
This is a major coup for us, methinks. Local kid, drafted pretty high as far as the whole draft goes, and still decides to head to campus. He could teach Bubba a thing or two. Always good to keep kids considering the majors, and our pitching staff could use all the help it can get. Quote Link to comment
Vince from ShamWOW
This kid might be the shot in the arm this team needs to get back where they belong. Quote Link to comment
Power-I
He might have just helped add years onto Mike Anderson's life. Quote Link to comment
huskerswrkhavoc
He might have just helped add years onto Mike Anderson's life. A freshman isn't going to do that.... If Anderson makes it past this year, it will be the Big 10 that adds years onto his life... Good get with Ehlers, but not so great on everything we lost... Quote Link to comment
