Taylor
Was wondering how this is any different from a punch. If you punch a player I believe you are thrown out of the game. How is this different? I think the player should have been kicked out. Any thoughts? Quote Link to comment

They were saying on TV that the KSt player was "making a play at the ball," or so I thought they said. Â I don't buy it, it looked really, really cheap to me. Quote Link to comment
I am I
Like Palmer said, it was a straight up donkey kong punch, right in front of the ref who quickly pulled his flag. Technically it wasnt really a 'fighting' type punch, so I think it deserved the flag but not the ejection. Total frustration is what it was Quote Link to comment
GBRsal
Typical Mildcat cheap shot - they are desensitized to that kind of bs down there Quote Link to comment
HuskerT
I have a feeling Taylor's gonna have to get used to that type of thing. The more recognition he gets, the bigger target he becomes. Glad to see the ref was in good position and was all over it. Really dumb play because Kstate had just stopped us on third down. Quote Link to comment
TMagic
A downward fist thrust onto the top of a helmet is a little different than a blow to the face that could cause serious neck injury. Quote Link to comment

So you're saying there's a greater chance of injury in a tangential blow to the side of the head rather than a straight down blow that compresses the neck? Not buying that one at all. HuskerTrucker
Maybe I am just a little smarter than some people, but gee, Wally, if your going to punch someone, why would you punch them in the helmet where the only thing that is going to hurt is your hand? Duh! Quote Link to comment

Don't get me wrong... its illegal as Hell. But you just can't generate that much power with a down thrust.... maybe if he was standing above him on a ladder or something... then t would be way easier to cause serious injury. Think about it... you can generate way more power with a blow to the side of the head. It's science. Â Â He got the flag.... deservedly so. Kick him out of the game? Na Quote Link to comment

Na I'm not saying they should kick him out of the game. I'm just saying I think you're underestimating the force a player can generate hitting a guy on the top of his head. Quote Link to comment
bleedNUred
Very thuggish play from that guy, straight up dirty play shows alot about his character. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
It was really unnecessary. Dont think he should have been kicked tbough Quote Link to comment
