Judoka
Exactly what is turf toe anyway? Turf toe is usually caused from either jamming the toe, or pushing off repeatedly when running or jumping. Quote Link to comment

dave
Exactly what is turf toe anyway? I play volleyball and often called my injuries "turf toe" when my big toe bent UNDER my foot and I basically stepped on it. Happens a lot in sand/grass when you're not wearing shoes. Anyway. Hurts both ways I'm sure. From Wikipedia.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turf_toe Turf toe is a surface level condition characterized by a painful, red, swollen great toe caused by acute inflammation of the tendons on both the dorsal and plantar surfaces, often seen in those who play football, rugby, ultimate frisbee, beach soccer and wrestling.[1] An injury can result in acute and chronic pain (specifically, to the plantar capsular ligamentous complex), resulting in time lost from sports participation for a short- or long-term period. Classification of this injury is based on clinical findings and imaging studies, including plain radiographs and magnetic resonance imaging.[2] Quote Link to comment
holvy83
Thanks for answering my question. Sounds annoying and maddening all wrapped into one package. anything to do with toes and tendons on the bottom of the foot are hell and take forever to heal. It is more of an annoying pain that you just cant get around without lots of inactivity. Quote Link to comment
Glendower
While bagging up a pair of peppermint shrimp and a neon dottyback, a trusted source in Lincoln has told OKBlitz.com Sports Director Dean Blevins via text message that Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez "isn't gonna go..." and that he would "be ineffective if he even tries to play." He then asked if Dean needed any replacement filters or zooplankton suspension. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
On the way to Dallas Im going to hang my a$$ out of the window through the entire state of Oklahoma. With a rather large N U painted on the cheeks. Taylor probably won't play, but the okblitz has no clue what they are reporting. No one will notice. You'll look like a regular okie around here Quote Link to comment

NoLongerN
I don't think Martinez goes as well. I'd love to see a couple of shots down field early in addition to the normal with Green and Burkhead. I think the deep shots early will open up some other things. I also thing some down field shots could be explosive gains that changes the day and breaks the norm. SheepdogMark Quote Link to comment

I'm not sure that's gonna do anything to help Taylor's turf toe. yeah. and who is NOU anyways? this reminds me of the iowa st threads/fans/news that knew about our qb situation better than we did. our local writers may be less likely to run with some bite of info out of respect to bo and co than an opponents would be?
