Forget about the horrendous effort from the bigs for a minute (although it's something we shouldn't forget about, it's become quite obvious these guys are not being coached to rebound for some reason), there is one thing that absolutely is driving me insane from this game. It comes from a comment Doc made earlier in the week.

Why why why, when your team is built upon - and has had all it's success derived from - amazing defensive play, would you stop practicing it? Doc said they spent their entire practice on offensive work, zero defensive work. It showed. I understand wanting to place an emphasis on offense, especially if you think your defense is to the point where it is as good as it needs to be, but you still need to practice it! Doc made a huge mistake this week, hopefully he sees that and does something about it. You needed this one, Doc. You just cost yourself and your team big time. You lost any hope (however small it was to begin with) at an NCAA berth, you made your trip to the NIT harder, and most importantly you probably just cost yourself 4-5,000 fans or more on Saturday for the biggest game of the year thus far.
