GSG
Crouch attends Hawks’ tryoutBy Dan Hoppen One participant easily stood out Saturday at the Omaha Nighthawks’ final open tryout of the offseason. Eric Crouch, a former Nebraska quarterback who won the Heisman Trophy in 2001, was among those who tried out at QB on Saturday. An estimated 200 hopefuls attended the team’s third tryout after similar dates in Jacksonville, Fla., and Fort Worth, Texas. Crouch declined to comment after the tryout, but Nighthawks coach Joe Moglia was encouraged by what he saw. “I’ve always had the utmost respect for him for what he did at Nebraska and for what he did as an athlete around the country,” Moglia said. “I think that if Eric ever decided this was something he wanted to come back to, he would be able to do that.” http://www.omaha.com/article/20110409/SPORTS/704099795/1142#crouch-attends-hawks-tryout Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
I remember seeing Crouch along the sideline at the first Nighthawks game last year and you could tell he was thinking "I can do this." I hope that he and/or Lee catch on with the team. 1 Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
That would be cool to see more former Huskers dotting the lineup. People would love that. That would be cool if Crouch made the team. It would be interesting to see what he still has. Quote Link to comment
UGAHusker
How many people did they get at their games last year? Can only imagine that if these games are being played primarily during offseason periods that, more former Huskers should help attendance numbers. Quote Link to comment

Had the best attendance in the league. Quote Link to comment
