knapplc
This is a surprise. Ehlers no longer a Husker Logan Ehlers, a prep phenom pitcher from Nebraska City, is no longer part of the Nebraska baseball program. Huskers coach Darin Erstad announced Wednesday that Ehlers has made the decision to no longer be a part of the program. In seven appearances last season, Ehlers went 1-3 with a 4.30 ERA and had 20 strikeouts in 29.1 innings pitched. “We wish Logan nothing but the best of luck in the future,” Erstad said. “We will continue to support him in any way we can.” Quote Link to comment
HuskerHacker
Not something I wanted to see but one has to expect some turmoil with a change in coaching staffs I guess. Hope all is well with Logan and he's not leaving because he's decided to end his baseball career. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Sipple just tweeted that it should be noted that former Husker pitching coach Eric Newman is now the head coach at UC-San Diego. So apparently Ehlers will be transferring west...? Quote Link to comment
huskrplaya
He's transferring to Peru st Quote Link to comment
huskerswrkhavoc
He was disappointed with the way he was handled here last year.. when we stuck with Erstad, some people said that him being a hold over may cause Ehlers to jet, so I can't say I'm overly surprised... but frustrated, yes. typ3kal
Ehlers is an impossible person to deal with. Definitely saw this coming. I won't say anything else because I'm not going to get into compliance issues on this board. However, not all things were fine and dandy between him and the department as far back as last fall. knapplc
Ehlers said "it's absolutely my decision" to leave program. "I wasn't kicked off or anything like that. I respect Coach Erstad and the guys" via Twitter from Sipple Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
This hurts. He showed his flashes of potential last season. He was just really cuffed by the NCAA suspension last spring. Again I fall into the not overly suprised by this decision, just understands how this really hurts the rotation heading into next year. And for the record if it for some crazy reason, which I personnaly don't believe it is, but Silva>>>>>>Newman Quote Link to comment

Blackshirts007
He's a trouble maker anyways, i know some friends who knew him, plus i work at scheels and our LP staff caught him stealing, that says something about his character... Quote Link to comment
