tOSU Nut Guy...

Recommended Posts

Why are Ohio State's helmet stickers marijuana leaves? Maybe we shouldn't be surprised about all of these suspensions and such...

They're Buckeye Leaves from a Buckeye Tree.

And Big Nut is the newer generation of fan who's just trying to get camera time. Neutron Man (Orlas King) is the ultimate fan. Sadly he died a little while back.

I remember Archie Griffin having them spilling over to the other side of his helmet by mid-season.

We had a guy named Mad Mike in the 80s and 90s. Would walk around the crowd and beat a drum, yell and fire up the fans. Dressed in shorts and a short sleeve jersey no matter the weather. I was at the 1991 OU game (Friday after Thanksgiving) where it was raining and cold as hell. I'm sure he kept warm by downing lots of Yukon Jack. I believe he's passed on.

Now, we have the Husker Elvises. Three guys in all-red/white Elvis get-ups, pompadours and 70s sunglasses.

I like the guy who dresses up as Woody Hayes. Yes, Woody had a meltdown, but still a legend. Devaney and Ozburn are too revered here for anyone to dress up like them.

Gotta respect the dedication.

That being said.. I think he looks like an idiot.

it's the neck stickers, or whatever, that really takes him over the top? why would you accentuate such a jowly gullet?

Uhhhh, seriously? It was the neck stickers put him over the top for you? You my friend, have a high tolerance for idiocy

Uhhh, seriously? It was the mention of the neck stickers that put it over the top for you? You my friend, have a shallow sense of humor

Uhhh, seriously? You didn't know I was being facetious? Your sense of humor is apparently much more shallow than mine.

I never knew neck stickers could so thoroughly divide the Husker Fan base, I believe I have discovered the ultimate weapon. Time to get this news to the print shops in Madison

Stick around longer and you'll see we're divided on much more shallow things than this

For sure, this is very tame and meant to be good natured (hope it was received that way). :D

i just wanted to say 'jowly gullet', because i think that perfectly describes his neck.

Whoa.. I'm pretty sure I saw this guy after the game last night.. Walking at the intersection between Avery and Hamilton.. He was talking to a couple of Husker fans that thanked him for coming and said that he loved it and that we were a class act.. Only pretty sure it was him because the back of his jersey said Big Nut and I was wondering if that was an individual thing or something a lot of OSU fans wore.. Makes sense now.

Nothing wrong with what he's doing, and from what it sounds like, the guy is a pretty decent guy, especially if he was more than cordial after that tOSU game.

Hell, we have the 'Husker Elvises (Elvi?) and the dude wearing the Mexican Gunfighter outfit (Mexi Corn Killa?), and they're pretty crazy, but they standout, and they are nice folks from what I gather.

Nothing wrong with drawing attention in this manner, as long as you use that attention for good.
