flatwaterfan
I was thinking Thorell was playing nickel & dime yesterday, but in reading the paper they were saying he was playing slb, which pretty much means he was the peso. So it was peso&dime. I think we will see a lot of peso&dime next week. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
Absolutely. It's good to have if we ever do face passing teams such as MSU and NW. So yes, I would think that we would play in it for the entire Northwestern game, as well as the Michigan game. For Iowa and Penn State, I would think we would stand Eric Martin up and go big. La Volpe
It helps our secondary as a whole more than a basic package. I'm glad we got back to it, because our secondary is young/inexperienced and getting worked. But improving. Quote Link to comment

Don't get me wrong, he's a great Husker on and especially off the field. But if someone isn't playing as good as you expect them too, maybe it's time to try something new. I hope the guy the best and hope he does succeed on the field, but right now, he isn't playing like we all expected him to. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt96
Did we finaly realize that the Peso will work just fine against the teams in the Big 10. The defense played a lot of Peso, Nickel & Dime packages against MSU & we finaly looked like the Blackshirts. I hope Bo & Carl are ready to pack up the 3 LB sets and send them down the road. SnowBigRed
I've thought all year that getting rid of the Peso to go to a more traditional 4-3 was kind of unnecessary. Why stop doing what you are good at? The Peso can be an effective run stopper as well, as long as it is schemed well. Be a little different than the rest of the Big 10 Bo, and stick with the peso.
