ensanehusker
Can't say I'm surprised http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7287786/kansas-jayhawks-fires-coach-turner-gill-following-10-game-losing-streak Link to comment
TonyStalloni
It's hard to believe they only gave him 2 years to turn around a program whose cupboard was about empty when Gill arrived. If I heard correctly he has $5 million left on his contract so his life isn't exactly shattered. I hope he can pick up the pieces and make something of himself. He will do good things at another school. Link to comment
Malth
Two years. At Kansas. If you're not going to give a coach a few years to actually turn the program into his own, and to bring in his own players, etc, then why the f#*k do you even bother. Have fun firing coaches every 2 or 3 years because they aren't instantly winning conference championships. Link to comment
NebraskaShellback
That will send a big message to anyone who wants to coach at KU, get two years to have a great team or the door will hit you in the nuts on the way out. Link to comment

California Husker
So, does that mean he would be available to us for next to nothing (with Kansas picking up most of the tab)? He is a great coach...and knows how to coash quarterbacks. I know Beck is the QB coach now, but Gill coached three national champions and a Heisman winner...pretty good resume Link to comment
