Excel
Michigan's Hoke to be named Big Ten's top coach Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Certainly it was for this year. What Hoke did for Michigan was incredible. And it's well deserved. Beerma's consecutive solid seasons are impressive, but they pale in comparison to what Hoke did for Michigan. Quote Link to comment
Excel
I was actually rooting for Jerry Kill. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Even then, if Minnesota would've won 7 games, then he might've been. But they won what, 2? 3? Quote Link to comment
Muck
TSUN had one of the easiest schedules in the conference & finally hired a competent defensive coordinator. Zook could have managed that. Quote Link to comment
jaws
I think Hoke deserved it this year but the funny thing about this reward is Jim Tressel NEVER won it. Say what you want about the way his tenure at Ohio State ended, but he put together some great years at Ohio State. At least Kirk Ferentz didn't win it again. I don't understand why everyone loves him so much as a coach. Quote Link to comment

I don't understand why everyone loves him so much as a coach. I really don't understand the love for Kirk either. The guy has made it to two Orange Bowls in his entire tenure at Iowa while the remainder of the teams he has had are slightly above average give or take a little bit depending on the season. Not saying that I would fire the man if I were Iowa but he certainly to me does not seem like the cream of the crop in the college coaching landscape. Quote Link to comment
