strigori Posted November 8, 2012 Share Posted November 8, 2012 The reason Iowa would get upset with certain quantities of homebrew, is only if you are selling it, without giving them the tax cut. Alcohol is one of the only items where you get taxed on a tax, meaning that when a store buys from a distributor, the store pays a tax on the alcohol, the tax amount then folds into the value, and the end consumer is taxed on top of that. "sin" taxes.... Allowing for microbrewing is one good thing Jimmy Carter actually did do.... Link to comment
