TonyStalloni
A 6'4" 275 pound DT from Denham Springs La. Had been committed to LSU since March 30, 2012 but was asked monday to become a gray shirt. His high school coach says this was never discussed during his recruitment. Tevin and his parents are deciding whether to reopen his recruitment. Since committing he hadn't taken anymore visits so he would be starting from scratch. Ranked as a 3 star by most services. http://247sports.com/Player/Tevin-Lawson-16927 http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2013/01/tevin_lawson_weighing_lsu_gray.html Quote Link to comment
QMany
Rivals - 4 Stars "Stuff like this means he either isn't going to make his grades so its a nice way to let him back out or they've cooled on him and its a nice way to let him look elsewhere." Tiger board consensus. More I looked into it, it looks like a NCAA clearinghouse issue and with how LSU (over)signs kids, they can't take the risk. Could we? Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I see Scout has him as a 4 star also. http://espn.go.com/colleges/lsu/football/recruiting/player/news/_/id/150413/tevin-lawson Quote Link to comment

Seems like he'd definitely be worth the risk considering that we probably wont get the 26-27 spots in this class filled. If he doesn't qualify the schollie would probably just go to a walk-on anyway.
