Glad Gordon got in. No reason he shouldn't have been added any different then Newman after learning these other circumstances. Only bad thing is now that he will be racing for the championship he won't have a chance to take Bowyer out.

 

I've never been a big fan of the chase and last week was a good example of why.

I don't follow Nascar real close, but all this chase stuff that is going on now is really making them look like idiots. Now they're going to add Gordon as the 13th chase car. Just as well put everybody in so nobody's feeling are hurt.

 

This has a lot less to do about driver's feelings and a lot more to do with sponsors. If the race fixing issue doesn't get resolved, sponsors will start pulling out of the sport. The economy has been making things very difficult for teams to get good sponsorship the last few years, even with some of the top names. That last thing NASCAR needs is more sponsors to leave because of questions of integrity.

Trevor Bayne diagnosed with MS

 

NASCAR driver Trevor Bayne said Tuesday that he has multiple sclerosis, but he does not expect it to impact his racing career.

Bayne said he is still scheduled to drive for Roush-Fenway Racing full-time next season in the Nationwide Series and a partial Cup schedule for Wood Brothers. He goes into this weekend with one Nationwide Series win this year -- at Iowa -- and is ranked sixth in the points standings.
