MichiganDad3
With all the rule changes to prevent injuries, why hasn't the halo rule been brought back? I loved this rule. The punt was almost always returned, and IMO the punt returner was more protected. Quote Link to comment
tmfr15
There is a halo rule. It's called waving your hand in the air. So easy, anybody can do it. Quote Link to comment
ADS
It was a stupid rule anyway imo Quote Link to comment
ZRod
It's basically back now, and stupid as ever. It's one of the worst judgement calls in all of sports, there are way too many variables for it to be called consistently. Sort of like helmet to helmet contact... Quote Link to comment

Taking away one of the more exciting plays during a game... Quote Link to comment
ZRod
Like I said I don't know if you guys were aware of this or not, but the rule has essentially been back for a year now. It's a one yard buffer instead of two. I believe we were called for it once last year, though I couldn't tell you the specific game it was. Section4: Opportunity to Catch a Kick Interference With Opportunity Article 1. b. It is an interference foul if, before the receiver touches the ball, a Team A player enters the area defined by the width of the receiver's shoulders and extending one yard in front of him. When in question it is a foul. Quote Link to comment
