There can only be one leader in our system - the president. He sets the example. He should start by changing his partisian tone. What would you like to hear him say? 2. Lead in Compromise: Be sincere. If he wants the repubs to accept new revenues (taxes) then he has to lay down some real spending cuts. He has to start doing the right thing for the long term for this country and not just for political or legacy purposes. If you refuse to think about your legacy, your legacy will take care of itself. Do I think the repubs will follow. Yes. Have you seen his budget? It's already been rejected by GOP leadership and it contains spending cuts and modest tax increases. I completely agree that we have some national leaders that need to start doing the right thing for the country. We have a significant number of politicians who need to learn that compromise isn't a dirty word. Link to comment
