Learn some electrical wiring and install outlets at the front of your riser. Then when your basement catches fire you can work at redoing that to stay busy. 1 Quote Link to comment

I doubt this is the kind of idea a 20-some-year-old bachelor is looking for, but I designed and built my mom a 500+ bottle wine cellar in our basement. It took me one weekend to plan and dry-build and one weekend to put up. Outdoor pergolas to cover a small backyard patio area are pretty easy. I did a project very similar to yours when I was in college for staidum couch seating. I love thinking of projects and DIY. That is amazing.... Can I come over for a drink?
