Thanks_Tom RR
Props to our skilled players on offense for starting the game with an attitude and keeping it for the whole game (even when they struggles so much to move the ball). Props to Westerkamp on punt returns for great hands (I know they are not returning any this year, but it is such a difference from last year when we saw so many muffled punt returns that led to turnovers, a short field, and points for the other team). Props to the kick-off team. Solid play every time all year. Props to our young defense who looked anemic to start the game, but came alive after the first quarter and owned their side of the ball afterward. This saved the game for Nebraska. Props to Bo and RGIII for good clock management after the last TA Int. Props to AA for another inspired 4th down play to keep the final drive alive. Finally, props to RGIII and Westerkamp. This was a game that our defense deserved to win, and the offense did just enough, then gave us such a memorable finale. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Props to our secondary. NW had 81 yards passing yesterday. 81 yards! Passing was 8-21 with one pick. That's some pretty incredible pass defense right there. : Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
Props to the whole team for not quitting. Sure there was some play that just plain wasn't pretty but they seemed to keep trying. That is a refreshing change. Quote Link to comment
dutch91701
One more quick prop from today as evidence of progress on improved recruiting. We now have two DEs that have a pick 6 on the season......Gregory and Moss. We have better size on the interior line and better athleticism with these ends. There are few things more beautiful than watching a Husker D lineman return a pick for a TD. We need to have one of those british nature announcers dubbed over the return. Make it sound more majestic. Quote Link to comment
