NamelessHusker
Top portion is ETR: Player: Ryan Mallett Hometown: Texarkana, TX Position: QB Height: 6’6” Weight: 220 40 time: 5.15 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma,Arkansas, Florida St. and Baylor Favorites: Committed to Michigan Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Big Red Report:NR/ Assessing the talent: A true drop back gun slinger. He has an absolute cannon. As a sophomore he threw farther than Beck and Freeman at the 2004 NU Elite QB Academy. He’s been the starter for a couple years now and puts up big numbers. His small downfalls are his footwork and speed of the delivery. He still hasn’t, in a way, grown into his body. His feet want to do one thing and the rest something else. His delivery takes a “little” longer than you’d like especially on slants, hooks, dragon routes. Routes that need real quick releases, just to get the ball in the receivers hands. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker:5% Texas will be his favorite, along with some attention to Nebraska. Overall, I believe it will be very difficult to get him out of the South. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******* Husker: NU QB target for 2007 Ryan Mallett took a trip to the cotton bowl as a guest of the Longhorns to watch the red river shootout. Texas is amoung one of the many schools vying for his services. Other schools currently interested in him include Arkansas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Miami, Oklahoma, USC, Florida, Florida St, Cal, and UCLA just to name a few. Nebraska is the only team to have offered him a scholarship so far. Ryan has already taken in a NU summer camp, in addition to Camps at Arkansas, Michigan, and Texas. Jay Norvell is currently recruiting him Quote Link to comment

HSKRNOKC
Ryan Mallett This young man sounds AWESOME! We were the first to offer him. He might be more enthused about us now knowing the depth chart just got smaller at qb. Quote Link to comment

AR Husker Fan
It must be something in the (what little there is) water in the state. I've lived in a number of states and overseas, and for the life of me I can't see the attraction that Texas possesses... Quote Link to comment

But that's what most people think. Quote Link to comment

HSKRNOKC
M.Mustain recommitted to Ark. This might affect Mallett decision. Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
Commenting on the Texas win over USC in the rosebowl: Texarkana Texas High quarterback Ryan Mallett, who may be the nation's top-ranked junior quarterback prospect, said when anyone wins a national championship, every recruit wants that school to offer a scholarship. "If USC, Penn State or Ohio State had won, then everyone would want to go to that school," said Mallet, who is still looking at 30 schools, including Texas. Quote Link to comment
