EmeraldIngot
I just can't underestimate Jameis. He's never lost! How does that old saying go again? Oh yeah! "There's a first time for everything." Quote Link to comment
beorach
I like Michigan State best for a wager myself. I suppose that's a lot of points for a talented Buckeye team but that QB spot is still a big wild card. Quote Link to comment
Creed
I read on other forums that the B1G put getting the max number of teams into bowls over gross bowl payouts and favorable match ups. B1G is tied at $60 mil with PAC but they have 2 less teams. SEC and ACC are in the 80+ mil range. By adding one more team to the Bowl alignment it affected all the upstream match ups and now many B1G teams are playing "up" as they have done for many years when the B1G would get 2 BCS teams in b/c of fan base followings. So when the B1G goes 2-7 it is GOING to affect next years rankings. The SEC has mastered the bowl parings to aid in their very good bowl record. SEC selects teams after the opponent is known where the B1G just slots the team in immediately to fill slots. Here's a comment from another site (a UT fan): "Absolute manipulation. Just take a look at all of their matchups. They don't want MSU getting trashed by TCU, throw in the little brother who is trending down.Arky playing up, playing good defense? Great, put them against us.LSU plays no defense, so pit them agains Domers $#@!ty offense.MSU is pretty ok, plays good D. So put them against GT because GT defense sucks. And don't want the #2 SEC team getting absolutely thrashed by TCU, who might be better than Bama.Mizzou. Lulz. From conference championship game to playing Minnesota. Should beat the $#@! of of them.Ago plays WVU because they are scared to play the team who beat them.UF gets a Sunday game against ECU because they don't want anyone watching the albatross burn. Had to put them somewhere.Auburn gets Whiskey because they don't know what defense is.Miami USC and UGA Louisville are the only 2 outliers.Basically the SEC scheduled their teams to play against the others weakness. I don't give a $#@! about the SEC but they absolutely know how to build a brand." Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
I think Langford, Lippett and Cooke can do a lot of damage to that Baylor defense. "Baylor defense" is an oxymoron, like "Senate Ethics Committee" or "Jumbo Shrimp". Quote Link to comment
