Mavric
My apologies for boring you with the same intro as the other thread but I think it has some important things to keep in mind.In their previews released today, they gave a Madden-style player rating to every projected starter. I thought it would be interesting to get another take on comparing roster talent. Obviously doesn't factor in depth but it give a decent idea for the guys who are going to be on the field the most (probably). Light blue blocks to the left of the rating indicate player was a four-star out of high school. Dark blue is for a five-star.Of course, part of this rating would be affected to some extent by how the team was perceived to do last year. And it would also be somewhat dependent upon the scheme being run. For example, Tommy Armstrong could easily be in the low 90s if he was in a scheme that was using his legs more and his arm less. And it's only one guy - or one site's - opinion. So it isn't as through as other ways. But it does give a look at current players and how they've developed/performed.NEBRASKA: Offensive Average: 89.36; Defensive Average: 85.55; Overall Average: 87.45 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
They don't have the non-Power 5 Conferences up yet but I thought it would be interesting to look at how the Huskers compare to this year's opponents according to their rankings.OREGON: Offensive Average: 88.82; Defensive Average: 83.00; Overall Average: 85.91 Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Looking like you should take the Over in the Huskers/Ducks matchup. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I don't like the low rating for the OL and DL for the Huskers. If I had to choose, I prefer great lines and average skill players versus great skill players and average lines. 1 Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Malik Lovette isn't with Oregon anymore. He transferred to TAMU. Not sure why they had him as a starter at CB, he came in as a receiver and they JUST moved him. Ugo Amadi or Chris Seisay will play that position and they both played a ton last year. Would be a much higher ranking than Lovette. Also, the Dwayne Stanford/Pharoah Brown ranking is RIDICULOUSLY low. Brown I understand is coming off injury but was/is an all american type TE. That was a general consensus prior to his injury. Stanford is a 3rd year starter and has more receiving yards than B Reilly. This disparage between the 2 is dumb. I'm not arguing with the numbers they have on NU guys but they seriously messed up on Oregon's. Pretty badly. Specifically these two and Reggie Daniels, Tyree Robinson, and Pisarcik. Also having Dylan Utter at a 92 is the most laughable mess up in this ranking system (I wasn't gunna argue an NU player but he's the only one that's way off)Now go on and tell me I'm being biased. Army_Allen
Am I being biased when I say Lavonte David was robbed by being made 10th best OLB in madden this year when he's top 3 in a crap ton of major lb stats outside of sacks? Quote Link to comment
