Who’s tracking flights?

Recommended Posts

It is scheduled to fly out of Lincoln in the morning. It's a charter company plane not a booster or university. I'll bet they change destination on route or just land in Lincoln. But either way it's scheduled to fly out of Lincoln tomorrow to rapid city.. so my guess is it's just a drop off..

More than likely it will be a charter and the pilot won’t file the plan until the morning an hour or so before wheels up, keep an eye out around 7-8AM CST for it to pop up.

edit: nvm. The Beatrice flight redirected to lincoln is the one...sneaky pilot.

One thing to keep in mind....There are many airplanes that have filed for faa exemptions so that they cannot be tracked on public websites.  They typically are used for business deals, execs, mergers etc.  Usually callsigns are “dot com”.  If you have a radio capable of listening to frequencies for center control or approach/departure control and listen for “dot com” callsigns you could infer what planes are coming in from where.  Even then, tracking actual N numbers and figuring out flight olans would be next to impossible without being at the local FBO and seeing who gets off and on.
