pigsonthewing
This may be a dumb question, but are we still going to have the other two "smaller" Huskervision screens in their respective corners? yep, i think they are even upgrading those as well with newer screens. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Neb. will install giant video screen LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Installation of a giant video screen on the north end of Memorial Stadium began this week and will be operational when Nebraska opens the football season Sept. 2 against Louisiana Tech, a university official says. The 33-foot-high, 117-foot-wide Mitsubishi DiamondVision screen is being perched above the 6,500 new seats that are part of a $50 million football facilities upgrade. The video board cost $4.5 million, nearly $500,000 under the initial $5 million budget for the project. Buy Memorial Stadium Tickets Online We offer tickets to all events at Memorial Stadium. The LEDs are spread among 168 panels, which are guided into place by a crane at ground level and crews working within the video board's frame. Each piece is bolted into iron girders that are buried in the bedrock below the stadium. "They're not going to fall out," said Shot Kleen, director of operations for Husker Vision. Installation should take five days. Mitsubishi, which manufactures the LED elements, will test the system in July. Crews also will install two 24-foot-wide LED screens in the southeast and southwest corners of the stadium to replace Husker Vision screens that were put up in 1994. New LED scoreboards will be installed at field level in the southwest and northeast corners, Kleen said. Memorial Stadium became the first college-only stadium with video screens when the original Husker Vision screens were installed. Memorial Stadium's new screens are touted as the biggest in college football. "We designed this not to be the biggest," he said, "but (we designed it) to our needs and our fans' (needs) and our stadium." Quote Link to comment

bennychico11
Is the screen going to take up the whole things from the looks of the Cam, I'm thinking it's almost done. My guess is the screen will fill in the rest of the right side and the left side is going to be a big billboard/advertisement. Quote Link to comment
