lo country
And some really positive observations. Good article about what went right last year and reasons for optimism. Nebraska definitely needs to get back to that constant drumbeat of positive runs of four yards, four yards again, six yards, seven yards, then boom... But the Huskers do return an O-line that could start three freshmen and a sophomore next year who are coming off a successful final act against Rutgers, which helped push the team to a yearly rushing average above 200. More consistency is definitely needed, but we at least know what the Husker nucleus up front looks like, and a lot of coaches across the country would like a chance to see what they could do for the next few years molding a group that includes a Corcoran, Piper, Jurgens and Benhart. https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/LongFormArticle/Nebraska-Huskers-football-2021-reasons-for-optimism-158199226/ 1 Quote Link to comment

Outlook for 2020 This season Nebraska is looking to have a strong offensive line. Not only is there a lot of experience coming back, but t many younger players have shown a lot of potential to make an impact this fall. The Huskers are also tweaking their line up from last season. Matt Farniok is moving to right guard after starting at right tackle for the last two seasons. This will free up the right tackle spot for a younger player to come in, presumably Bryce Benhart. Flanking the line on the other side will be another senior veteran Brendan Jaimes. Benhart was a highly touted 2019 recruit and impressed coaches last season. Ethan Piper also made a name for himself with the coaches this spring. True freshman Turner Corcoran is also expected to contribute to the offensive line this year. The 2020 Nebraska offensive line is full of experience, but also has more depth than they’ve had in years. Expect good things from this group this year. Possibly more. First one I found. Bottomline, our O sucked this year. Were there excuses? yep, just like 2018 and 2019. Looking forward to what they will be next year. There will be a lot unless some adjustments are made....... Idk who wrote this but any reasonable person who has followed the team and the newest recruits new that this line would probably have growing pains. It was young, but talented. I think there were more than a few here saying 2021 and beyond is when they would really start to shine. We'll see... 1 1 Quote Link to comment
