KansasHusker
Hm, Cory Ross did very well in their latest preseason game agains the Vikes...(link) 6 carries, 23 yards to lead all Ravens rushers including Mike Anderson who had 7 carries, 11 yards; 1 catch for 5 yards; and 4 kickoff returns averaging 24.2 yards (Sams had 3 with a 20.7 average, which is even better news ) Look at the Sam Koch statline though. He's got a monster leg. 5 punts - averaging 51 yards a kick, with a long of 61. Wow, good for both of them. Good games for both. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
Koch has been pretty inconstant this preseason, but hopefully he has things straightened out so that he wins the punter job for the Ravens. I don't know about Ross yet. That will probally be one of the last cuts that the Ravens have to think about. Quote Link to comment
motorboatjonesNU
Nice USA Today blurb about Pork Chop. A large roster cut is today, I believe. Quote Link to comment
motorboatjonesNU
Ross survived today, Bernard Thomas did not. One more cut coming up. Articel here. BaltimoreRavens.com Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
I read that Lord got cut from the Colts yesterday. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
Thats going to be a tough choice for the Ravens. Do they carry four backs? Do they use Anderson at fullback? Do they release P.K Sams in order to use Ross at returner? Quote Link to comment
zoogs
There's 75 players on the Ravens roster, which will have to get whittled down to 53 by the end of the week. Cory Ross is going to have to do some impressive things to stay on the roster. Mike Anderson is a fullback. And yeah, Lord got cut. Unfortunate, but I just don't see him as a DB. gamecocks
Mike Anderson is a fullback. Your right, I was thinking of P.J. Daniels. I don't know if he could play fullback or not. Quote Link to comment
CENTEXHUSKER
With all due respect to Ross, you could put my Grandma behind that O-Line in Denver and rush for 100 yards a game But even behind that line Ron Dayne still stinks Quote Link to comment
zoogs
That's true, it's the great thing about Denver. Then again, if Ross becomes wildly successful there, it's anyone's guess what's going to happen to him after. Re: Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson, Clinton Portis, Reuben Droughns. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I don't think Denver is going to pick up Ross if he gets waived. They have a log jam in the backfield as we speak. I doubt that they are looking for someone to pick up off of waivers. Quote Link to comment
mrs.borNred
I wish he was coming to Nebraska as a freshman this year cuz I am really going to miss him... Quote Link to comment
skersfan
Welcome Mrs. BorNred. I could not agree with you more!!!! Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
Hopefully Cory can keep up the work, and keep impressing people and make the team. One more big cut to make now. Quote Link to comment
motorboatjonesNU
Rossy survived today's big cut... They waived Koch's competition... Is there one more coming up??? http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/rosterPlayers.jsp Quote Link to comment
