I love this wrinkle of running power by pulling the WRs across the formation. Brewington had several kickout blocks last year. But I don't remember pulling another WR behind him to lead up on a LB. Mavric
Simple but effective. Might have gotten some help from the play-side DE slanting the wrong way. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I was tempted to call out Benhart but after watching a couple of times I'm not sure he was all that bad. I think Thompson sets too deep (10 yards). Thompson does a good job of buying time. And Brown is getting dangerous. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
This play was monumental from a momentum standpoint. Also, this is why I like Palmer trying to high-point the ball. It might have been the wrong play earlier but more often than not it will work out well. And it was huge here. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
There's a difference between patience and hesitancy and Grant is easily on the correct side of that line. Interesting that they really didn't react to the Orbit motion. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
This probably doesn't look like much but I think the little chop step in the backfield was key to buy an extra count for the seam to open up. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I mean ... how much more blatant - and obvious - does this have to be? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Less Kolarevic! Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Like these calls. Just needs to go all out (without the little hesitations). Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Mathis at least makes him move off his spot. Need someone else to go with. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Whipple loves to put extra OLs on the field. Which I generally like. We just haven't gotten much production out of those plays yet. Quote Link to comment
