HuskermanMike
http://www.espn.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/142170/best-roster-of-coaches-in-america-its-in-the-big-ten Really short part on Mike Riley, more on the big dog coaches and rightfully so. If Mike wins he will be on top like the franklins and Harbaughs and Meyers of the B1G. If we win the Big in the next few years, it will be impressive to win against some elite coaches. 1 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I have said for a long time that college football needs good midwest and northern teams contending for championships. It was starting to be nothing but a sunbelt sport. The way to turn that around was going to be hiring good coaches into this area. For a long time, every really good coach thought then needed to flock to the SEC, ACC or USC and UCLA. We have seen the Big Ten schools step up their game in this area. I believe that Nebraska has upgraded it's entire staff. Now we need to see if it's upgraded enough to compete with the rest of the conference. Quote Link to comment
huKSer
I thought this was ranking the coaching STAFFS. I wonder how this would look? Quote Link to comment
NUance
What about the SEC, you ask? Saban rules, obviously. But who’s the second-best coach in that league? It might be Florida’s Jim McElwain. Or Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen. Would either school’s fan base trade them for Harbaugh? You betcha. I think they're selling the SEC coaches short because they're all over shadowed by Satan, errr, I mean, Saban. From top to bottom the SEC is competitive with the B1G and ACC. Quote Link to comment
