I think it is very similar to being a first year coach. Bo had to scheme against all new teams his first season as HC just like he has to this season. They could put is in the freaking NFC North and I would still be frustrated at the lack of discipline this team showed today though.

So it's possible we wont play a team in our own conference in our first 4 years? Thats disappointing.

I know this isn't the exact topic of the thread, but I had this thought earlier today. I get that the conference wanted us to play all of the big match ups, it is a ratings boost. But in 2 years our schedule will be a joke and we will be on the BTN a whole lot. Just seemed like short sighted scheduling to me.

TO also never lost 4 games in a season. Something Bo Pelini has done every one of his years so far. Not saying Bo should go that is just a poor comparison. Bo gets more games than TO did.

I highly doubt they are faking the cancer. I would be less surprised if they were planning on keeping it private in their family until after the season. Even if it were treatable. This is an 85 yeah old that just got told he can't do what he lived for anymore. I can't see him being much of a "fighter" its only a matter of time.

If he gets hired this month OSU wont skip a beat. I hope it takes them until after bowl games though. Urban could pull quite a recruiting class with only a few months if he were hired soon.
