  1. Why? You want to watch a Bama-LSU rematch in the title game?... probably would be the best game. i would like a lsu-oregon rematch. LSU and Bama played already and it was a snoozer. LSU and Oregon played already too and LSU won decisively. Why not have a NC matchup that leaves at least a little bit of intrigue? I've gotta go for Oklahoma now personally

  3. I like how Iowa State never actually beats good teams when they play them. They just wait around for their superior opponents to beat themselves, and then ISU takes credit for it. This is horsesh#t!!! I didn't want salmon! I said it four times!
  4. How about the game that has come up this week because of Brady Hoke... Ball State... No reason we should have won that game, though I'm glad we did because if we didn't, it would have been the most embarrassing loss in the history of Nebraska football. Callahan sucked all the way around. Bo is a championship caliber coach. Yep, I said it and I'm stickin to it. Yes, he is still kind of learning on the job whether we like it or not, but give it a couple of recruiting classes longer and a chance for Bo to learn from his mistakes, and we are a championship caliber team. Shoot, next year we could be in the hunt from what I see. The team has all of the right pieces to get there. A veteran QB who improves each and every game, a running back who is a workhorse that you can lean on when you need those 3 yards for the first down, and potentially a defense that is light years ahead of this year's, with a solid front four, Compton and likely Santos at LB and possibly Zaire Anderson, a more experienced secondary led by Daimion Stafford, Andrew Green, SJB, and PJ Smith, and you're looking at a potentially dominant unit.
  5. I'd like to know who was responsible for voting for this. I voted for the pitchfork. Would have been way sweeter than this pile of dung...
  6. And on top of that, NFL teams like RBs who haven't had a butt load of carries in college so Rex probably falls a little bit farther down just because of the load he has carried for the 'skers in college.
  7. IF the Huskers were to change up uniforms I kind of like this. Even the black face mask. I wonder what a black jersey with white or maybe red pants would look like. Can someone photo shop those combos to see what it would look like? I like these also. Not sure what everybody else thought, but I read that article interviewing this one "jersey guru" and I just have very conflicting views from him. He said we should go back to normal jersey material instead of adidas stretchy fabric... Screw that! that subtle little changes makes our jerseys look so sweet this year for some reason, and not sure if anyone sees this as well: the white jerseys are a lot whiter than in years' past. LOVE IT!!!
  8. Which one will it be? NU - PSU NU - OSU NU - UM NU - WI Dang! That's 4 Oklahoma's. Yeah, we don't play these two each year so they aren't going to turn into a huge heated rivalry. Iowa is much more likely. Iowa? Why? No tradition plus they're not good. IMO a step up from ISU or maybe worse since ISU keeps beating them Been to a BCS bowl more recently than NU...actually two....just to play Devil's Advocate. Well, I understand how that might have happened playing in the mediocre B1G. For teams like IA and WI, "tradition" = the last 10 years. Not to mention NO championships of any kind ever. Sorry - don't mean to talk down to them but that's the definition of little sisters. Blue bloods = Nebraska, Alabama, Ohio State, ND, Michigan, Oklahoma, USC, Texas (grudginly - only 1 NC in last 40 years) What've you done for me lately. Minnesota's a blue blood too by your definition with seven national championships but they haven't been anything worth watching in years....Iowa will make Big Ten Championship games and you'll lose to them from time to time. It'll be a rivalry.... Minnesota, Army, TCU, Chicago (wink wink).... I can go on. Sorry - NC claims before 1940 are very sketchy. No real NC games, shady record etc..... That's why Michigan's "7 NC's" are disputed bec. most of those came before 1948 I believe. Correct you are sir. Looks like '47, '48, and '97 are the most recent ones that they claim. So discounting the ones before 1940, they've technically won 2 because we all know who was the true National Champ in 1997
  9. And we all know that next weekend they will be at the OU-OSU game... Oh well...
  10. I am in my 40s. I can clearly remember seasons as far back as the 1970s. I don't care if you're a "big Bo fan" or not, firing a coach going 8-4 in the circumstances of this season, after back-to-back ten-win seasons, is moronic. I would ensure another Callahan-esque hire, because this program would be toxic to any coach after we fired a 9-3 coach and an 8-4 coach in a period of eight years. I didn't say I was 'satisfied' with 8-4, or that anyone should be happy with it. Read my post again. I said that would be zero reason to fire Pelini. You're in your 40's. So am I You didn't say you were "'satisfied' with 8-4" but you did say "it would be zero reason to fire Pelini". Well then you're surely saying that we should keep Bo and be unhappy at the same time, yes? That doesn't sound like a good recipe for future success. I could stomach this season if we lost to WI and then lost a close 1 @PSU. But getting blown out by WI and then losing to an UNRANKED team at home because you didn't watch film or prepare reeks of coaching problems. And in year 4 we should be past those. Boom! Knapplc beat me to it^. But here's what I say: Say after the season, you're in TO's shoes, and you fire Bo. Who would be your realistic hire? This excludes Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Les Miles, etc. Who do you hire and what makes you think they would be on the same level as Bo? I'm a big Boliever so I'm just curious who you think would be better...
  11. Whoa! NWMSU right here man! Once a Bearcat always a Bearcat thats awesome! i felt so bad for you guys when your head coach past away this offseason, but man im glad mel is gone! lol and that was one hell of a game at arrowhead this year! hopefully we see you in the jungle in a couple weeks, but you guys better take care of MoWest first! Ha I don't even pay much attention to the team. We are not doing as good as we have in the past.
  12. Whoa! NWMSU right here man! Once a Bearcat always a Bearcat
  13. Can't believe I've never seen this thread before, but.... Keystone is the bomb and.... I WIN!!!
  14. Hell no I don't root for another team!... I'm drunk
  15. Especially with the way MSU has been playing since we whooped up on them, I could definitely see Northwestern beating them. Especially since NW could have a bowl berth on the line at that point. Could make for a good ending.
  16. I just read this too, and it kind of excites me. I almost hope that MSU takes care of business, and here's why: Say we win vs. Michigan and Iowa, we are sitting at 10-2, probably around 10-14 in the BCS rankings. If MSU were to lose to Indiana or NW and we go to the CCG and get beat, that knocks us out of the top 14 in the BCS almost guaranteed. Whereas if we don't make it to the CCG, we sit at 10th or so and the Fiesta Bowl seems to want to jump on the opportunity to grab us to play OU. This kind of excited me, I have to say!
  17. I think you are forgetting the great balls that he had been catching in a few of the games. I think with our receivers it is all mental. When they are concentrated and playing loose, they can all make really good catches. BK has made a conscious effort to catch the ball with his hands this year instead of his body, as well as most of the other receivers, and that is why we are seeing much better play from our receivers this year in comparison to years' past. Are they still inconsistent? Yes, but they are coming along.
  18. Boise St will NOT get a bid. Neither will a second Big Ten team. I never said anything about a second Big Ten team. In the past the Boise's, TCU's, Utah's have only gotten in undefeated. Boise has no more claim to a BCS berth than Southern Miss or Houston if you're going to look at second tier conferences. If they take the Big East and ACC champs plus 2 from SEC and Big12 then you take one from pac and B1G so you have 2 spots left. Would a 2 loss ACC team (VaTech or Clemson) deserve to go over a 2 loss B1G team? I'm assuming the PAC would send two if Oregon wins their conference and Stanford doesn't lose again. You didn't say that you said that... I did. A one-loss Boise State will get a BCS bid over a second Big Ten team. That said, the four at large bids will go to teams from the SEC (Alabama), Big XII (Oklahoma or oSu), Pac 12 (Stanford) and Houston (if they finish undefeated). Boise has a 14 point road win over highly regarded Georgia. What is the Big Ten's signature out of conference win? Michigan beat Notre Dame in Ann Arbor... what else? I don't see any reason why Boise would get a bid at this point. The got beat by TCU, who is not as good this year as in years' past, and barely beat Air Force. But like people have been saying, the only realistic chance we have is winning out, MSU losing, and us winning the B1G championship game. If this happens, that likely puts us vs. Oregon in the Rose Bowl. That would be a little scary IMO...
  19. I would like very much to play Arkansas in a non-BCS bowl. I just want to play a SEC team and beat them and for the rest of the B1G to play and beat SEC teams after that horrible bowl season the B1G had last year. SEC needs to be knocked off its pedestal.
  20. Do people not realize he played a lot of snaps at PSU? He said he isn't practicing well. Take it at that. Our receivers are being very productive this year even without him (minus the drops in Happy Valley). JT's time will come, just be patient.
  21. Wouldn't it be ironic if the team that beat us to kick us out of the lead for the CCG was the team to beat MSU and send us there anyways
  22. I think we should take Stafford and slide him up, playing a QB spy all game. I would say have Lavonte spy him, but I think that Stafford fits that bill a little better in my mind. He's probably half a step faster than Lavonte and most likely will not be needed in pass coverage, considering how wild of a passer Shoelace is. We should have some opportunities to pick off a few passes this weekend.
